My boat is still not back yet. News are that they’re coming back on Friday but there’s no one there to take them off the container so we’ll probably be doing it on Saturday after class.. (ANGELA’S). A good friend has lent me their hiking pants and I’m very grateful to that person.. =) haha..

Weather today was perfect for sleeping and yet I didn’t sleep. Wonder why.

Hmm, today it’ll be only a short post cuz I didn’t do much the whole day I guess.. haha.. woke up at 12.. <>.. Actually I wasn’t ready to wake up yet but anyway, I lazed in my room the whole day trying to study. I did a little bit of management to ease my pain.. Then after that I watched fullmetal alchemist all the way till 5..

Note: I will promise myself that fullmetal alchemist shall not distract me from my priorities.

Also, mapled a lil while. Lvl-ed today.. haha.. finally got a few scrolled items so can chiong for low-dex.. haha..

Anyway after hours tonight was alright.. it was a tad funnier If I do say so myself.. haha.. and yeah.. tmr there is mr gobi’s class in the morning so I gotta crash early.. Looking forward to a good week ahead and the bad luck to stop soon..

Congrats goes out to our very own byte national squad captain, khee zi yang, who have just claimed top honors for the 4th SAFYC Changi regatta. Bravo Zi Yang.

Anyways, feels great to be back and kicking in the byte though my bad luck streak continues. But yeah, I think I might get used to loving the byte. It’s the non-living thing I love the most. We’re transporting back on Wednesday which is also the day my boat comes back. CANT WAIT!

MAN PPL WHATS UP WITH THE DRAMA.

No seriously dudes. Don’t overreact or what not man. Like its not a big deal or something. And whatever is on the taggboard stays on the taggboard alright? I don’t care if you all don’t think it’s a game or what not but yeah, im just saying that I find it amusing how I can get 400 hits is 24 hours. So its kinda cool ain’t it?

So well, the day is over and the anger, angst, hatred and emotions have been poured out so yeah well lets just call it a day and just move along man. I mean, COME ON. Its kinda hard multi tasking when:

Gosh.. I haven’t sailed in 2 weeks man.. Byte I mean. Where’s my boat tim ross? Grrr.. lets just hope that the regatta would go on smoothly.. But yeah, first thing im looking forward to is the POOL. Haha. Swimming pool I mean. =)

Yeah, also im ecstatic that my SIN 7 is finally gonna rise again. Pity that collin isn’t sailing the regatta. Or is he? Haha.. Well there’s still ziyang, mondy, mark, William and Eugene.

Not forgetting the girls too. Val and jo can seriously kick my ass if im not careful. Haha.. but heck oh wells.

Fabio Ramos (the brazilian from worlds) has been helping me out on my byte skills lately, been emailing him often, asking him stuff about the byte. Frankly, Fabio is really a great sailor man. His techniques that he taught me actually make sense! Haha.. and to think I didn’t think of them first.

But you gotta give him credit because he is like the best byte sailor in Brazil.

Anyway, exams are coming up and I shall say this:

I AM REALLY STUYING PPL. AND TO THINK “FENDI” AND “STUDYING” SHOULD NEVER COME IN ONE SENTENCE.

But oh wells, I find it interesting how my mugging days are coming back to me. Its like I’m mugging for o levels all over again just that the subjects are different.

Its kinda like bittersweet you know? Studying hard and on the other hand I keep thinking about sailing. I want the byte so bad. Collin’s been doing his best to get his nautivela back and he says he’s hinting to his parents.

Well collin, HINTING ISN’T ENOUGH.

Haha. Yeah, anyway I also just got myself a Buff. Its like the things you see on survivor. Im like the first sailor to use one I think. Haha. That’ll be so cool. Hope it helps though.

So yes, regatta is inching nearer and the thought of my 8th win is still lingering around my head.

Oh no. Yet another predicament.

My fellow bytie and corner banger has requested that I pair up with him for the 420. Now don’t get me wrong. I’m fully up for this. But something I’m not sure of is how sure collin is about this.

ALSO, I have in mind, collin’s best interest.

You see, collin is an excellent sailor once he gets his head straight. But now, he has no choice to move on to another class due to the fact that his brother needs to use the boat. (Nautivela!) So, I have already suggested that collin stay in byte as with time, he can really show his true potential. I have a lot of faith that collin will do best in byte as he has shown in worlds recently.

So now, I don’t want to be a third wheel and stop him from doing what he wants. But I do have concern that by moving on to another class, he, or lets just say WE, will not really be the cream of the crop. I don’t want to go into a class where we get beat by people younger and smaller than us. That’s just wrong.

So now there are three choices:

1. We both stay in byte and kick ass as we own the corners to infinity and beyond.

2. We both go 420 and see how it goes from there.

3. I stay in byte while collin has no choice but to let the nautivela go to his brother and he has to sail something else.

( I do hope that number 3 does not have to happen as that would really not turn out pretty.)

I have every right in my mind to help him in any way possible to make him stay in byte.
I would try my best to convince his parents that he really deserves the byte.
And I would fight for what is right for both of us because every time I win a regatta, I want him to be in second place. HECK, HE CAN EVEN BE IN FRONT OF ME.

So it’s not up to me. I’m just falling into a slippery predicament.

Is it morally wrong to like a girl older than you? I dunno.
Is it morally wrong to like a girl younger than you? I dunno.

Well that’s me. Stuck in the middle of a hazardous situation. It just doesn’t feel right anymore. I mean liking a girl older than you? It probably means that she more mature and sophisticated. Also it limits one’s capability to fall in love with such a person due to the fact that some people are paranoid about age gaps.

Meaning me.

Also, liking someone younger is twice as bad because, simply put, you can’t do a lot of things with her. Especially if that specific girl is from sports school. AHEM. So yes, why is there such a problem for teens these days to be with someone who isn’t their age? I mean for someone like me, who probably hangs out with girls who aren’t my age, it’s kinda something that I can’t escape from.

I mean I dunno if its just me, but it seems that people my age aren’t good looking at all. And don’t me started on their personalities. Its always the older ones or the younger ones that can catch my eyes. So now, I don’t know how to address the situation. So the only thing I can do now is to forget about all this and to sail through it.

I made my choice and I’m staying in byte till I leave AUT. That means trying my best to go for London 2008. I don’t care if some people aren’t too happy about it but all I can say to them is;

“You do what you wanna do, I’ll do what I wanna do. So leave me alone.”

Damn I miss the byte so much. It’s like even now, as I’m writing this post, my byte is still on its way back from Thailand. I do sure hope that everything is ok. Especially the 5 boats coming by tim’s container. Haha..

Anyway, it’s a week to the regatta and im totally hyped up about it. Never thought I’d ever look up to see SIN 7 rise again. Boy that sail is special. It has been passed on, legend to legend and now, im looking for the next.

Let me just give you a brief history about SIN 7.

Optimist, Byte and now laser legend; Colin Cheng, has bee using SIN 7 since he first touched to water and look at him now. He was an opti god, representing Singapore in a few overseas regattas. In byte he was unstoppable, no one was a match for him. His boat ever flat on the upwind and his godlike speed on the downwind. He was a force to be reckoned with. And yes, he was using SIN 7. The number was officially retired to me after the end of interschools 2005 where Colin moved on to kick ass in the laser.

Now that leaves me.

Opti washout and now, a byte to be reckoned with. Some may say it’s the luck of the number and I might agree with them. But if you ask me, I’d say that the number brings out potential. Potential to excel and succeed come what may. And thats the story of my life. And my tribute to the sail.

SIN 7 lives on.

That’s all I shall say cuz well the corners weren’t good today and the first guy like totally 13 point ahead of me despite me being second I am still not happy. My races are as follows, 9, 10, 1. Check out the website once its up you can see my lead and my total annihilation due to a death roll. Its like frame by frame capsize.

But oh wells, its like totally not worth fretting over cuz the thai guy that’s leading bangs the corner as hard as I do.

So that is why im not happy. Anyway im just trying to control my anger cuz I get really upset if im falling back.

So yeah. Hoping tmr will be a better day.

Pre-worlds sucked on my part, I’m not quite happy with the results though cuz basically they suck. Im losing to zach and some Brazilian dude. Got me totally emo and what not. Oh wells. My races are 12, 3, 1 but I am totally not happy because I capsized so many freaking times that I got so mad that I totally screwed my races up.

For the first race the winds were godlike. And you know me, I banged corner.

BUT I TOTALLY BANGED THE WRONG SIDE.

Man.. That was seriously the lamest thing I could have done la. Seriously.

Anyway for the second race I banged the correct side and hiked my ass of to a comfortable 3rd despite capsizing once.

As for the last race I didn’t give a shit and WHACKED as far down as I could but and eventually I got a comfortable lead up front. It was a surprising race as I thought I couldn’t make it but eventually I got the gold. You should have seen my bloody downwind la. Centerboard down, kicker tight as hell. Totally did not want to capsize. So yes, I win the ipod but zach gets the ronstan sponsors.
