Oh no. Yet another predicament.

My fellow bytie and corner banger has requested that I pair up with him for the 420. Now don’t get me wrong. I’m fully up for this. But something I’m not sure of is how sure collin is about this.

ALSO, I have in mind, collin’s best interest.

You see, collin is an excellent sailor once he gets his head straight. But now, he has no choice to move on to another class due to the fact that his brother needs to use the boat. (Nautivela!) So, I have already suggested that collin stay in byte as with time, he can really show his true potential. I have a lot of faith that collin will do best in byte as he has shown in worlds recently.

So now, I don’t want to be a third wheel and stop him from doing what he wants. But I do have concern that by moving on to another class, he, or lets just say WE, will not really be the cream of the crop. I don’t want to go into a class where we get beat by people younger and smaller than us. That’s just wrong.

So now there are three choices:

1. We both stay in byte and kick ass as we own the corners to infinity and beyond.

2. We both go 420 and see how it goes from there.

3. I stay in byte while collin has no choice but to let the nautivela go to his brother and he has to sail something else.

( I do hope that number 3 does not have to happen as that would really not turn out pretty.)

I have every right in my mind to help him in any way possible to make him stay in byte.
I would try my best to convince his parents that he really deserves the byte.
And I would fight for what is right for both of us because every time I win a regatta, I want him to be in second place. HECK, HE CAN EVEN BE IN FRONT OF ME.

So it’s not up to me. I’m just falling into a slippery predicament.
