Day 4 of interschools. Yet another bittersweet victory. But alas, despite the victory, I for one feel utmost sorry. I mean. There are times when we as mature adults, take in to concern our respect for others. Im truly sorry for ac who have really fought real hard for this. Im sorry to tim lim for taking away your trophy. But my deepest of apologies goes out to none other than kwong ming. A brave and humble man he is. I cannot start describing how much pain I feel deep within. When VS beat ac b div in 2005, THAT felt great. The sole reason why I went to vs was to break the ac streak. So my goal was accomplished then. But now when you pit two very equally matched teams together, and one wins by protest, I feel that the victory is a tad bittersweet.

Im all for vj on their amazing effort out there today. Watching from the breakwater sent shivers down my spine. But I mean there are protests. The sole reason why there are protests means that someone is in the wrong. So in that favor, all is fair. But it’s the biggest two teams pitting heads against each other. It so melodramatic when we huddle up and listen to words as such. Im in awe. Now I understand that kwong ming has taken it very hard but who can blame him? He is an amazing sailor. He is leading an amazing team. And the thing that gives his a lot of respect is that he respects his competitors.

A note to all first. When a competitor comes up to you and offers you a handshake, YOU TAKE IT. Sprouting words like; “I’m sorry but I lost respect for your team”. That’s BALLS man. Im sorry but this really angers me.

However in all good spirit, the team has done well and three cheers to both VJ and AC. Keep the flags flying high. It’s a sorrowful way to end an amazing and action packed championship, but still it’s the end people. We have said our sorrys and our congratulations. We are sailors. We keep sailing and we follow where ever the wind blows us to.
